Petronas Chinese New Year Photography contest

I've been abandoned my blog more than two weeks, finally I got time to blog. So how was your Chinese New Year so far? I really enjoyed the food in Kuching and cant stop eating. And now I put 4 kg on my weight. *Why so many awesome food in Kuching.*

If you read my blog 1 year ago, you will notice that I was very active in joining photo/video contests and won some awesome prizes from those contests. 

And now Petronas is organizing a photography contest in facebook page.  The contest ends on 12th February 2012 and  for the category winners, your photos will be exhibited at the Galeri Petronas and winners will win the following prizes.

1st Prize	: 1 x RM 2,000
2nd Prize	: 1 x RM 1,000
Consolation Prizes	: 5 x RM 500

Furthermore, you might win the RM288 if your photo have most likes on that day. It's simple and easy to participate, all you need to do is follow the steps below.

"The theme of this photography contest is reimagining energy^TM. Participants are free to interpret the theme as they wish. All creative and out-of-the-ordinary approaches will be appreciated.

Reimagining energy^TM can take many forms: it could be the human energy of a reunion dinner or the kinetic energy of families travelling from afar to be together. It could even be the picture of a family getting into a car at this festive time, a portrait of the grandfather in your family during CNY or an image of a new city where you are starting a new business venture at this time. Portraits, cityscapes, street photography, landscapes, fashion, and abstract shots: all are acceptable, and participants must not feel limited, as long as they are interpreting the theme mentioned above, and that it is clearly visible to a viewer."

Petronas 2012 "Coming Home" TV and Reimagining energy Photography Contest

Finally I back to my own hometown, Kuching for Chinese New Year and enjoy reunion among families and friends once a year. 

As usual, PETRONAS always produces good television commercial for Chinese New Year every year and stays true to the common tradition and values that bind all Malaysians in the underlying messages in year of Golden Dragon. 

On 17th January 2012, PETRONAS has just launched the year 2012 TVC entitled " Coming Home" which was shot in 6 different countries, Malaysia, England, Belgium, China and India. no matter how far they have come in life, stay true to their and tradition. The meaning of Chinese New Year to all Chinese. 

The media launched was held in Galeri Petronas KLCC and opening speech by PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah (Photo below).

“The TVC is meant to celebrate not just the Year of the Dragon, but the spirit of perseverance, adaptability and determination as captured in each of the stories it depicts.    This energy is something that should inspire us all as we navigate through the challenges we face in life,” said PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah.

“It is this innate spirit of resilience, energy to see opportunity, energy to go on, improve and move on while staying true to our values that we wanted to portray in our TVC. It is this same spirit that forms the core of PETRONAS’corporate positioning, Reimagining Energy™ which emphasises and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit to excel in whatever we do. ” he added, speaking at a special media preview of the TVC.

 Basically there are 3 types of Starker you can get in Overtime Aromatic, Dunkel and Lager. For me, I prefer Dunkel because of the sweetness compare to another 2 types. Overall, Starker still my favourite beer! I blogged about it before so please check it here.

Count down with Magnum 2012, Sunway Lagoon

Sorry for this delayed post. Thanks to Magnum for giving the passes and count down with Ella (SHE), Rania  from Korea, Da Monsterz and more local celebrities in Sunway Lagoon, 31st Dec 2011. 

Actually I took a lot photos but most of the photos corrupted while transfering into my hardisk. Argh..

After that had a 2012 first meal with Amelia and Jun Fook in Mcd at 3am early morning. That really fun and I guess no more fun for me.

Anyway, I going to leave KL very soon, start my new life after Chinese New Year. KL peeps, please dont forget me. =)
